NFL BettingToday people have a lot more options available when it comes to betting on sporting events and this includes NFL betting. The professional football games have always attracted a variety of players who enjoy the excitement and challenge of NFL betting. However, the season is short and there are a lot fewer games than in the professional baseball or basketball seasons so it’s important for bettors to make the most of each opportunity.
There are many factors that go into NFL betting because there are so many things that can potentially affect the outcome of a game. It’s not enough to just look at the betting odds and betting lines. It’s important to know as much about the teams and key individual players as possible in order to place an intelligent bet. For this reason many people do their NFL betting through a well known sportsbook where they can find recommendations made by experts who have studied every aspect of the game. These experts study more than just the team records. They look at injuries to key players, how individual players on both teams match up against each other, and even potential weather conditions. They study all of the available data before making a recommendation and so bettors know that they can rely on these recommendations when doing their NFL betting. Getting this kind of expert help can be particularly important during the playoffs, when teams are usually more evenly matched. So give yourself the best chance of winning when you bet on professional football by getting good expert help.

Eagles rumorsReid was asked if he felt any guilt over the 16-hour days he spends as a coach. “I work hard here,” he said. “That’s part of the job. I think that’s important. At the same time, you take a lot of pride in work and a lot of pride in being a father. At the same time, when things happen (at home), it’s important you hit them head on and deal with them as a family.”

Eagles sign Kevin CurtisAfter losing a major target for quarterback Donovan McNabb, the Philadelphia Eagles added a burner to their receiving stable. The Eagles on Thursday signed free agent wide receiver Kevin Curtis to a six-year contract. Financial terms were not disclosed. The 5-11, 186-pound Curtis is a possible replacement for Donte Stallworth, who signed with the New England Patriots on Tuesday for a reported $30 million over six years. Stallworth caught 38 passes for 725 yards and five TDs for Philadelphia last season. “Kevin’s a guy that we’ve liked all along,” Eagles general manager Tom Heckert said. “He’s got great speed and run-after-the-catch ability. Kevin’s a calm, smart guy that goes out and plays football. He definitely brings tremendous speed to our team.” Curtis, 28, caught 40 passes for 479 yards and four touchdowns in 2006 for the St. Louis Rams. A 2003 third-round pick of the Rams, Curtis has appeared in 51 games, hauling in 136 passes for 1,714 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Seahawks release DE WistromThe Seattle Seahawks released fiery defensive end Grant Wistrom on Thursday after three years of struggling to match the big contract he signed in 2004. Wistrom was scheduled to make $3.5 million for the 2007 season, part of a six-year, $33 million deal Wistrom signed during the 2004 offseason. His contract included a then-club-record $14 million in guaranteed money, but Wistrom never posted big numbers with the Seahawks. Calls to his agent, Tom Condon, were not immediately returned. Wistrom’s release comes a day after the team formally introduced new defensive end Patrick Kerney, who signed a six-year, $39.5 million contract. Coach Mike Holmgren said Kerney wasn’t acquired to be “standing next to me on the sidelines.”
