St. Louis fans were heartbroken. Just days before the start of the 1999 season Rams starting quarterback Trent Green suffered a knee injury that would shelve him for the entire year. For many teams such a setback would have been a crippling blow. But for St. Louis it set the stage for the greatest Cinderella story in Super Bowl history.
